| Here
are a few things to look for...
Multiple Cameras- Having multiple cameras gives
the audience more angles and makes it visually more interesting.
Extra cameras also act as backups. I would definitely
recommend more than 1 camera for any important event.
NLE- Non-linear Editor. We have seen many
people advertise this feature. It's a little like saying you
sell a car with tires. I'm not sure they make linear editors
anymore. Most professionals use Avid, Adobe or Vegas.
Each have some minor advantages. They can all be used to edit
and transform digital data (pictures, sound, color, animation, etc).
Bottom Line-
Quality equipment is
necessary but not sufficient in creating a good video. Even the
best equipment will record poorly if the camera operator is
unskilled. We
recommend you sit down and watch some actual wedding footage from your
perspective wedding videographer, not a montage of their best clips,
watch one or two actual weddings. This will give you a great flavor of
the type of weddings they do and the videographers style. In the
end, it's about the quality of the end product not all the cool
technology that they can use. |
